Cycling PEI’s Rigid Riders Mountain Bike Club at Brookvale is in full swing!

160 kids plus 40 adult and youth volunteers = an amazing time every Tuesday evening throughout the summer!

This Saturday: The Don Harris Century Ride

Only two more days to register for the premier annual cycling event in Eastern PEI!

Join up to 99 other riders this Saturday for this beloved annual ride through scenic Eastern PEI, named after its late founder, Don Harris.

Advance registration is mandatory, and registration closes on Friday, July 15th at 12pm.

The Start/Finish is at Rossignol Estate Winery in Little Sands, Prince Edward Island, 45 minutes east of Charlottetown.

There are two road route options, 100km and 60km, with rest stops on both, plus a 30km trail ride.

Participation is capped at 100 riders and closes soon, so don’t delay - register today!

New Women’s Mountain Bike Club in Cardigan!

Great news for women living in Eastern PEI who would like some company while enjoying the amazing trails in Cardigan! Cycling PEI has teamed up with go! East PEI to start up a new Women’s Mountain Bike Ride on Wednesday evenings.

Led by Cynthia King, the first of three scheduled Wednesday rides took place on July 13th. The plan is to gauge the interest and then hopefully start up a club that meets each week. Both new and experienced mountain bikers are welcome.

The July 9-10 weekend was a jam-packed one for competitive cyclists, with the Emyvale Road Race on Saturday and the Tour de Pants Mountain Bike Race in Cardigan on Sunday. Many racers participated in both!

UPCOMING RACES

SUNDAY, JULY 24 - CANOE COVE TIME TRIAL AND ROAD RACE

This is the road provincial championships for PEI. The first Islander across the line in each category is the provincial champ in that category.

The 17km Time Trial starts at 10am; the 33km road race begins at 1pm. Riders can do both or just the TT or just the Road Race.

Advance registration (no later that July 23 at 12pm) is required via www.cyclingpei.org/races/canoe-cove-time-trial-and-road-race. Register before midnight on Sunday, July 17 to SAVE!

SUN, JULY 31 - BROOKVALE DOWNHILL RACE #1

On July 31st, come race PEI's growing Downhill Mountain Bike Park. We may be small, but we're determined to build a great hill. Not to mention that our dirt makes for the 'flowiest' ride around!

The race, part of Cycling PEI’s Gravity Series, will consist of multiple timed runs on recently established downhill runs. Best timed run on each trail will be combined for total result.
